这本书描绘的是人的一生与大自然的密切关系，从孩提时代到中年，再到老年，与自然为伴，共同成长，从自然中出生到回归自然，与自然融为一体。作者将人的成长过程和大自然的景物变化衔接的非常美妙，水彩插画生动迷人，向我们展示了森林深处的各种植物与其细节，自然万物让人着迷;不同纹理的模切、压花、镂空凸版印刷以及单一的折页等工艺，让大家可以感受到一本高质量的纸制品的阅读类产品的魅力。另外大量的留白浮雕质感的图案与手绘水彩插画相结合，从树苗到深邃的荒野再到干旱的山脉，读者将作为探险家穿越隐喻的生命森林。每一位读者都是森林中的探险者。
      这本书可以当纸制品的艺术书来收藏了~插画家部分是由两位一起完成的，分别是VioletaLopiz与Valerio Vidali 。VioletaLopiz是来自西班牙伊维萨岛的插画家。她精美质感的作品充满了个性和俏皮感。Valerio Vidali则是一位意大利插画家。他喜欢植物园。

正文：
It is an enormous, ancient forest that has not yet been fully explored.
In the beginning, the forest is a grove of young pine trees.
It is usually free of danger and quite fun to wander through.
这是一片尚未被完全探索的巨大古老森林。
一开始，森林是一片小松树林。
它通常没有危险，漫步其中很有趣。

It is said that the forest has a certain limit
if you look straight ahead, but the sides are boundless.
Here is where the explorers can venture with enjoyment and curiosity.
据说森林是有一定限制的。
如果你直视前方，但两边是无边无际的。
这里是探险者可以带着乐趣和好奇心冒险的地方。

In this phase, the explorers observe insects without noticing that dawn turns to dusk.
They invent complicated games using rocks, numbers, branches, moss, words, and footsteps.
在这个阶段，探险者观察昆虫，而没有注意到黎明变成黄昏。
他们用石头、数字、树枝、苔藓、文字和脚步声发明了复杂的游戏。

They sing songs that seem to go on forever,
until their throats go hoarse.
Every day new explorers set out on solitary missions to experience the mysteries of the forest and to investigate its beauties and dangers.

每天都有新的探险者独自出发执行任务，去体验森林的神秘，探索它的美丽与危险。

As they move forward, the forest grows thicker.
It becomes both more difficult to penetrate and more fascinating. 随着他们的前进，森林变得越来越厚，变得更加难以穿透，也更加迷人。

In this part of the forest, the explorers usually realize they are not alone after all. And that they are surrounded by other travelers.
From these encounters grow friendships, rivalries...

...sometimes even loves.

From early on, the explorers develop a curious habit.
At night they gather around the fire and tell each other stories to keep the animals and their own fears at bay.
Much like the animals that inhabit the forest, the explorers represent a wide variety of types: tall, short, dark, light...
…impulsive, ferocious, mild, happy, sad, nervous, or quiet.
从一开始，探险者就养成了一种奇怪的习惯。
晚上，他们聚在火炉旁，互相讲故事，把动物和自己的恐惧都挡在门外。
就像生活在森林里的动物一样，探险者代表着各种各样的类型:高的、矮的、黑的、亮的……
冲动、凶猛、温和、快乐、悲伤、紧张或安静。

Some choose to help each other out, while others prefer to push on alone.
Along the way, many explorers develop another peculiar habit: they take notes and carve them into stone or leave them rolled up in the hollows of trees.
Some of these notes, though not all, are extremely important and will be treasured by future explorers.
一些人选择互相帮助，而另一些人则喜欢独自前行。
一路上，许多探险家养成了另一种奇特的习惯:他们做笔记，把它们刻在石头上，或者把它们卷在树洞里。
这些笔记中有一些(虽然不是全部)是极其重要的，将来的探险者将会珍惜它们。

At this point the forest is nothing but a tangle.
Each step forward leads to scars and bruises. But as far as we know, there is no turning back.
Fortunately, now and again, a small clearing appears where the explorers can pause and rest.
Sometimes, looking up, they glimpse the same shade of blue or green that they saw at the beginning of the journey.
They smile and continue onward.
在这一点上，森林只是一片混乱。

In the final stretch, the forest becomes ever more arid and barren.
The climb is difficult, the last part nearly a vertical wall.
But all of the explorers continue to climb diligently, regardless of the pain and hardship.

At the end of the climb there is a ravine into which each explorer will eventually fall,
despite the precautions taken and the advancements of science.
What may lie beyond the forest, no one knows.
Some say there is a grove of young pine trees.
