歌曲背景

虽然Blowing in the Wind的时代背景是越战时期的美国社会，但是这首歌的意境却可以说是「放诸四海而皆准」，同时始终深受世界各地人们的喜爱。当东欧与中东各地战火频传、当国人为政府与某些民间企业的不当措施采取激烈抗争手段的时候，总是令人不禁又想起这首歌曲。解决争端的方法其实显而易见，就像是飞扬在风中一样，只是有几人肯去倾听呢？ 这首歌也在电影《阿甘正传》中出现过。

Bob Dylan在传奇性的民歌宗师Woody Guthrie启迪下进入民歌界，很快的以独特的风格在格林威治村以及各大校园受到注意。1962年四月，他以深具内涵的创作技巧谱出Blowingin the Wind的时候，才是个二十刚出头的小伙子。这是他最早的「抗议歌曲」，对人们传统观念中「男子汉」的定义提出了质疑，希望世人能以和平而理性的态度来解决争端，不要再对世间的不幸视而不见、听而不闻，更不要再让无辜的人们继续丧生在战火之中。
